The Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca is situated on the east
coast of Spain, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Beautiful
rocky coves and long sandy beaches are both typical of this
stretch of the coast, which runs north-south through the
provinces of Valencia and Alicante. Not far inland, rugged
mountains rise and provide an impressive backdrop to the
coastal landscape.
The Costa Blanca enjoys a milder climate than southern Spain, and even at the
height of summer temperatures rarely reach 35ºC.
Good weather in summer is almost guaranteed as rain in this season is infrequent.
It is a fertile land, and orange and almond groves are a common sight.

Denia Port and Castle |
Denia
Denia is a resort on the Costa Blanca where we have villas set in the countryside
and some apartments by the sea. It is an old castle town with a shady tree-lined
main street where you can shop and then eat in tapas bars or restaurants. Just
off from this street there is even an Irish bar if you like Guinness! The beach
stretches from Las Rotas up the coast to Las Marinas.

Javea
Javea has long been a favourite resort. It is very pretty and is made up of the
Arenal, the port and the old town. The Arenal has a long sandy beach with many
restaurants and bars, and on the beach it is possible to rent sunloungers and
parasols. The port has many shops and pavement cafes overlooking the sea. The
old town with its local bars and narrow streets is also worth visiting. Most
of our villas in Javea are set in the surrounding hills or close to the golf
course. There are many coves on this stretch of the Costa Blanca ideal for
snorkling or crab hunting! For shopping there are two large Mercadona supermarkets
and several other smaller supermarkets all offering a wide selection of fruits,
vegetables, meat and fresh local fish. On Thursdays, an alternative to supermarket
shopping is the colourful local market.

Impressive valley near Orba |
La Xara
La Xara is a village about 2 kilometres outside of Denia, and here is where you
can find the Vacation Villa office in Avda del Oeste. We are open from 10 am
until 2 pm and we can always be contacted on our mobile phones. The village
has a tobacconist, bars, restaurants and Kellys, a shop where you can purchase
mobile phones, greeting cards in English, bed linen and gifts.
Orba
Orba is a village set inland approximately 8 kilometres from the sea. It is worth
a visit to see this typical Spanish town and have tapas or lunch in one of
its many restaurants and bars. From here you can also head towards Benidoleig
where you can stop for coffee and visit the caves.
